Each time Mercury retrograde comes around, I want you to remember one thing: there is sweetness in slowing down.
"There is so much to be felt in slowness and softness." ~ RA AVIS
Mercury retrograde is a constant reminder for us all to stop, to reflect, and to rest. Even if life is hectic, even if the holiday season is upon us, guess what? The Universe doesn't care. All it wants is your dedication to peace. Your commitment to stillness. And your mindfulness in daily living.
So honor it for three weeks. Find ways where you can do less and feel more. Keep it simple and remember to remember what it is that truly brings you joy. Is it reading? is it writing? Is it painting? Stop. The dishes can wait. Go do you first. Take a breath, open the window; be present.
And that's all it takes. Little things, done with care, all throughout the day. Small moments add up to big outcomes. You can change your life with one small action taken regularly. Never forget the power of your commitment to yourself. Never forget the power of your dedication to happiness.
Mercury retrograde is a favored time for me because it's a reminder that I don't have to control everything. And in fact, things go much better when I don't. So let go. Just be. Jot down the inspirations you receive from making space, and then when Mercury turns direct apply the added energy you have to birth the creative expressions that were cultivated inside you at the time they needed your attention the most.
